Baseball
Taunton, 6 @ King Philip, 1 – Final – Junior Jose Mercado made the most out his first start, going four innings to get the win, striking out seven, scattering four hits and allowing just one run. Offensively, Sam Moor, Zach MacLean, Luke Figueira and Brendan Mazerolle had two hits apiece and combined for five RBI. 
Milford, 3 @ Oliver Ames, 10 – Final – With the win, the Tigers qualified for the state tournament for the 27th time in the last 29 years. OA’s Alex Geba struck out 11 in a complete game effort for the win, scattering eight hits. Junior Chris Romero went 2-2 with a walk, three runs scored and an RBI, senior Nolan Edwards was 2-3 with three RBI and a stolen base, and Brendan Welch, Mike Ferrara and Ryan Adams all went 2-3 with a run scored and an RBI. For Milford, freshman Aidan Wilde was 3-4 with an RBI and a run scored and Jeff Besozzi went 2-3 with two RBI.
Softball
Oliver Ames, 0 @ Milford, 12 – Final (5 innings) – Milford clinched its third straight Davenport Division title, this one outright. The Scarlet Hawks have won the division each of the three years they have been in the Hockomock League. Freshman Emily Piergustavo went 3-4 with three doubles and four RBI, Allie Piergustavo went 3-3 with a double and two RBI, Sydney Pounds went 3-3 with a double and two RBI and Maggie Farrell was 2-3 with an RBI and a double. Ali Atherton tosses a complete game shutout, scattering three hits with three strikeouts. Jamie Gottwald, Katie Pursley and Jenna Morley had hits for OA.
Boys Tennis
Taunton, 0 @ King Philip, 5 – Final – King Philip qualified for the state tournament for the fourth straight year with the win. Michal Kozuchowski won 6-2, 6-3 at first singles, Cole Ginter didn’t drop a game with a 6-0, 6-0 win at second singles and Garrett Schneider won 6-2, 6-2 at third singles. The team of Ed Washington and Justin Rohan won 6-3, 6-3 at first doubles while Ryan Gemelli and Jacob Webster didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at second doubles. 
Milford, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 5 – Final – Oliver Ames qualified for the state tournament with the win. Thomas O’Leary and Alex Morales won at first and second singles, respectively, in straight sets. First doubles of Steve Mueller and Kevin Diaz and second doubles of Tom Dew and Greg Wienstein both won in straight sets.
Girls Tennis
Franklin, 2 @ North Attleboro, 3 – Final – North got wins from both doubles teams and at third singles to clinch at least a share of its fourth straight Kelley-Rex division title. Freshman Jordan Willis won 6-2, 6-1 at third singles, the team of senior Kaela Dunn and junior Jhanavi Kapadia won 7-5, 7-5 at first doubles and freshman Emily Chiasson and senior Morgan Barney won 6-1, 6-3 at second doubles. 
King Philip, 2 @ Taunton, 3 – Final – Taunton took care of doubles play while KP won at first and second singles. The Tigers walked away victorious when sophomore Olivia Sweeney rallied for a 2-6, 6-1, 6-0 win at second singles. Emily Moor and Ashleigh Eason won 7-6, 7-1 at first doubles and Jillian Pagliuca and Callie Hebert won 6-3, 6-0 at second doubles. 
Oliver Ames, 3 @ Milford, 2 – Final – Oliver Ames got wins from Riley Spillane 6-2, 6-0 at first singles, Carly Orticerio 6-1, 6-0 at second singles and Mandy Massey 7-5, 6-3 at third singles.
