Why do you play the sport of volleyball?
My mom played when she was in high school so I decided to follow in her footsteps. Also, I love how fast paced the sport is and how fulfilling it is to block someone or get a kill.
Why is 2012-2013 going to be a good year for Stoughton High School?
There's a lot of great athletes at Stoughton High. For the volleyball team specifically, we have a really good team this year, on the court and off. We're all close and have improved upon our skills from last season. Even though we lost a lot of our team from last year I believe we'll have a great season!
What is your favorite Stoughton volleyball memory so far?
I'd say it'd have to be when we qualified for the state tournament last year for the first time in Stoughton volleyball history. We all made it a goal at the beginning of the season to get to tournament and we all felt proud that our hard work paid off.
What were your emotions when you played your first varsity game?
I remember being excited that I was playing on Varsity as a sophomore. There were probably some nerves but I think they were overshadowed by excitement.
What makes playing for Stoughton High School so special?
The atmosphere definitely makes playing for SHS special. At school, random people will congratulate us for a win and most of the time we have a large loud crowd at our home games. The SHS student body as a whole is very supportive of our sports teams.
When you’re not practicing, what are you usually doing?
I'm usually on the computer or hanging with friends. As of late I'm preoccupied with college applications.
