Why do you play the sport of soccer?
I play soccer because I have been playing ever since I can remember, since around age 3. It is the one sport that I have stuck with for my entire life, and nothing compares to the feeling I get when I am on the field playing the sport I love.

Why is 2012-2013 going to be a good year for Sharon High School?
I think this year is going to be a good year for Sharon High because we made it to the state tournament last year for the first time 13 years, and we are determined to go far this year, and have been working extremely hard all preseason.

What is your favorite Sharon soccer memory so far?
I would have to say my favorite Sharon soccer memory to date was last year in the game that we made it to the tournament for the first time in 13 years. We were all so excited and proud. Plus, we dumped our whole jug of water on our coach’s head which was also quite memorable.

What were your emotions when you played your first varsity game?
My first varsity game, I was a bit nervous because there was some pressure on me to do well being a freshman on varsity, but more than that I was also extremely excited.

What makes playing for Sharon High School so special?
I think that our team as a whole is really close -- we all have so much fun with each other and there is never a dull moment. We are not one of those teams that have cliques because we all get along great.

When you’re not practicing, what are you usually doing?
When I’m not practicing, I definitely am trying to keep up with my schoolwork and making sure that through my busy schedule I try to maintain a good grade point average because it’s really important for my future. Also, I have been playing for Scorpions Soccer Club since the age of 9, so soccer is a year round sport for me.

What are your top 3 pregame pump up songs?
1. 25 to Life - Eminem
2. Remember the Name - Fort Minor
3. Heart of Champion - Nelly

Meg will continue her soccer career next year as she head's off to Burlington, Vermont to pay ball for the Catamounts at the University of Vermont.
