Why do you play the sport of soccer?
I have been playing for the past 10-11 years and I loved it ever since I stepped foot out on the field. I love it because of the fast pace it has and the great intensity there is on the pitch during the game. It’s great to play a sport where I am always running and have to be physical unlike my other prime sport, tennis.
Why is 2012-2013 going to be a good year for Sharon High School?
This year we have 16 seniors on our team, which is quite a high number. Most of us have been playing with one another for ten years now and we have built numerous bonds on and off the field. That team chemistry combined with high skill will help us do very well in this upcoming season.
What is your favorite Sharon soccer memory so far?
My favorite Sharon soccer memory didn’t occur in high school. It’s actually from travel soccer when a bunch of us were younger. We always had a great team and we made it to MTOC, states, four times. It is pretty cool because we were one of the only Sharon teams ever to make it there, and we did it four times! That’s something I am always going to remember.
What were your emotions when you played your first varsity game?
I was a nervous wreck, we were going up against Canton under the lights in Canton last season and they were ranked fourth in the state I believe. It was also a great experience though and it ended up being a great night to remember. I got my nerves out of the way and we ended up tying them 1-1, a great way to start my varsity career.
What makes playing for Sharon High School so special?
Just the fact that I am representing a great school system both on and off the field. It’s always good playing for the town you have lived in your entire life and that’s what I get to do. There is not much better than representing your town and school in a sporting event.
When you’re not practicing, what are you usually doing?
Really just eating and hanging with friends. There isn’t too much to do around Sharon so I am always just laying low having a good time, occasionally making some good McDonald's runs.
What are your top 3 pregame pump up songs?
I don’t have any specific pump up songs that I listen to. Usually though when I need to get ready for a big game and get pumped up I will put on some house music and that usually gets me really excited.
