Why do you play the sport of football?
I play the sport of football because I believed that I could be successful and an asset to my high school team being a kicker. I had aquired my kicking skills from playing soccer for 12 years. I knew the opportunity existed because the team did not have a kicker.
Why is 2012-2013 going to be a good year for Franklin High School?
I believe that the 2012-13 season for Franklin High School will be a good one because we have a lot of depth in our skills positions (QB, WR, RB etc...). We also have 28 seniors on this team who all contribute in some way, whether that is offense, defense, or special teams.
What is your favorite Franklin memory so far?
My favorite Franklin memory so far would be the recovery of my first onside kick vs. Attleboro last year.
What were your emotions when you played your first varsity game?
My emotions for my first varsity game were all over the place. Going into my first kick, I felt everything outside of the football field had just stopped to watch, and that everything was focused on my kick. Getting the first game under my belt gave me more confident for the remaining games in the season.
What makes playing for Franklin High School so special?
Playing for Franklin High School is special because I play for an amazing coach, Brad Sidwell. He does a lot to help out all of his players and gets us totally prepared for game day. I am also proud to represent the town of Franklin, MA by playing on the football team. Lastly, the bond that my teammates and I have established makes playing for this team that much more special,
When you’re not practicing, what are you usually doing?
Studying for my 4 AP classes.
What are your top 3 pregame pump up songs?
Paradise City (Guns 'n Roses), Ghosts 'n Stuff (deadmau5), and Supermassive Black Hole (Muse)
*BONUS - Are you being recruited to play next year? If so, where?
Yes, I am currently being recruited to play next year. Although it is early in the recruiting process for kickers, I have been recruited by the following Division III schools: Beloit College, University of Puget Sound, Oberlin College, Macalester College, Utica College, Western New England University, and Worcester State University. My goal is, however, to play Division IAA/II.
