Why do you play the sport of football?
Football is the kind of sport you have to have a passion for. I love the preparation and the competition of football. My father instilled this in me and from the age of 6 and I was hooked. I enjoy learning new plays and executing them on the field. I love running the ball and making the play happen on offense. At the same time, nothing feels better than breaking up a play or catching an interception on defense.
Why is 2012-2013 going to be a good year for Franklin High School?
Franklin has a strong group of seniors this year. We have played together since we were kids and this is the season we have all been working toward. We are committed players and have the backing of the juniors and sophomores on the team.
What is your favorite Franklin football memory so far?
So far, my favorite memory was winning the Under Armour 7 v 7 Championship this past summer and playing at Gillette Stadium with my teammates. I have been working on a football championship since I was a Pop Warner football player. Scoring at Gillette and celebrating with my team is a great memory.
What were your emotions when you played your first varsity game?
Surprisingly, I wasn’t that nervous. I thought that I would be since I was a sophomore and it was all so new to me. I was very excited to be playing under the lights in front of a huge crowd in the stands. It is a feeling that stays with you and returns at the start of every game.
